The Dirty Dawg from Razor Baits is a soft jerkbait style bait. The long slim body of the Dirty Dawg makes it the ideal bait to throw on a light gauge EWG hook in order to ensure that it remains upright at all times. When worked on either a medium to medium-heavy spinning rod, this bait can produce some amazing results and catch you some one-in-a-lifetime fish.

When it comes to working the bait, there are three main ways to work this bait in order to get the most out of its action:

The first way is to allow the bait to remain completely still once it has hit the water, with very subtle twitch in-between. This mimics a dying baitfish and is the perfect presentation when targeting the more lethargic bass which have very little ambition to chase and hunt their prey.

The second way is commonly used to target the hungry fish who are actively hunting but are not all that aggressive. This would be to give the bait three consecutive twitches with very short breaks in-between. This will trigger all of the fish who are hunting to swim over and have a taste.

The third way, and by far our favourite, is to actively search for the most aggressive bass in your dam/pond by erratically twitching the Dirty Dawg. This mimics a fleeing baitfish and is irresistible to a hungry and aggressive bass. This will definitely give you the most exciting results.
